SR Network Defense Engineer â (Lead Information Security Engineer) CLEARANCE: ⢠Must have an active Top Secret (through an agency that uses JPAS) that has been adjudicated within the past 3 years. ⢠Must be able to be read on for the SCI. Prefer an active TS/SCI. Must be able to obtain a Yankee White clearance. ⢠Must be US born citizens to get the YW clearance.
LOCATION: Bolling AFB Washington, DC CERTIFICATIONS: ⢠Prefer a current CISSP or at LEAST working toward a CISSP. ⢠Others acceptable if working towards the CISSP are CCNA, CCSP, MCSE with Security+. Job Duties: ⢠Responsible for the administration of all the White House Communication Agency's (WHCA) Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and firewalls. ⢠Responsible for the operation and backup of these systems. ⢠Will document and establish procedures for security. ⢠Will use approved Information Technology (IT) Information Assurance (IA) tools to implement Computer Network Defense capabilities. ⢠Scans the network for vulnerabilities; evaluates, recommends and documents course(s) of action in regard to computer network vulnerabilities, events, and incidents. ⢠Will work with Security personnel to approve software and hardware for network deployment, accredit new installations and maintain network accreditation documentation.
