Position: Coldfusion Developer (Permanent) **Company**
This is an exciting role for the right candidate to join a dynamic start-up based in Fulham, London. The website is a social network for small business. It connects entrepreneurs, investors and service providers. It is the first site to do all the following: 1. Use video for businesses to pitch online for funding. 2. Provide a video-based directory specifically for small businesses. 3. Create a vibrant online community for entrepreneurs. 4. Have an 'Entrepreneur TV' channel that showcases entrepreneurs who have succeeded in their field. 5. Have information centres that are video enabled and user generated. The site was in development for 18 months ahead of the beta launch was on 20th June 2008. The hard launch will be in the Autumn. By December 2008 over £1m will have been invested in the company. **The role** Reporting to the CEO you will have responsibility for the ongoing development of our website (starting with the handover from our existing web developers), and by 2009 lead a small team of in-house developers. The right candidate The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience: * 4 - 5 years development experience. * Experience of social networking and consumer sites would be ideal. * Previous experience of working with online video would be advantageous. * Ability to deliver projects on schedule and to the highest quality standards. * Creativity, good teamwork and excellent communications skills (both written and verbal). * A creative approach to technical problems. * Experience of design and project methodologies and managing change process. * Drive and self-motivation. * The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines. * Mentoring skills and technical expertise to share within the team and the company as a whole. * Demonstrable analytical and logical problem solving skills. **Developer Skills** The ability to develop and apply the following: * ColdFusion â at least 4 years experience. * Oracle â at least 3 years experience. * DHTML * JavaScript * CSS * XML * Flash * Actionscript 2 * SQL databases **Job Details** * Salary: £50,000 pa. * Up to 1% share options (estimated to be worth £20,000 by December 2008). * Start date: September. * Location: Fulham, London SW6. * Holiday: 25 days per year.
