The senior developer will work with the Lead Developer to architect high performance and scalable web applications. They will also take ownership of the build and maintenance of the above-mentioned applications. The role will be given direct responsibility for delivery of the projects within their stream of work and will have a dedicated middleweight developer to work alongside them. The role will include mentoring and utilising the assigned middleweight developer to ensure project work is delivered onetime and to specification The business will see an increase in the amount of work produced from the IT department, as these roles will be as the key person within a Major project Stream. Key tasks Project Analysis and solution architecture ColdFusion Development Documentation Testing Estimation of Work Time Management of assigned middleweight developer EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE 4-5 Years ColdFusion Development ColdFusion 8 Enterprise Experience Exposure to OO Exposure to one of the Major ColdFusion Frameworks (FuseBox, Mach-II, Model Glue, ColdBox, ColdSpring) MSSQL 2005 Experience Unit testing Continuous Integration CI Agile Development Overview: The Senior Developers core responsibility will be to work alongside the lead developer to architect solutions and then to deliver the solution with the assistance of a junior developer. This is a hands-on role and will include working on current applications as well as new applications. Joining an ambitious IT department you will be working within and have direct responsibility for your own project stream. Main Responsibilities: In this challenging and technically rewarding role you will play a key part in the technical solutions, which are provided to the business. You will take responsibility for one of a number of project streams ranging from maintenance to major project builds. You will be required to estimate work and then deliver to the time estimation. You will be the main point of contact for the project stream for the Project Manager; to assist you with delivery you will be assigned a ColdFusion developer who will work under your supervision to delivery your project stream. Experience: Ideally you will be educated to degree level (but not essential) with considerable Development experience in an online environment. You should be used to working with a number of environments and be happy deploying out changes to live systems. You will have at least 4-5 years ColdFusion experience and be comfortable with OO techniques. MCDBA or MCSE would be advantageous Interested?
