PRIMARY FUNCTION Provide web and related programming support as part of the full-lifecycle IT services required for envisioning, transitioning, enhancing and maintaining a mission critical website associated with the US Navy. This includes activities for both operations and maintenance (O&M) for the existing website and enhancement/development for the next-generation website. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ⢠Resolve/repair problems to current web site ⢠Implement enhancements to current web site ⢠Assess current web site for usability and performance, using the assessment as the basis of recommendations for next generation web site ⢠Support design, coding, test and implementation of next generation web site ⢠Programming workmanship must result in developed code that is well structured, well documented, maintainable, and error-free SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: ⢠Excellent communications skills ⢠Five years experience developing code for web-based projects in DotNet, Cold Fusion, and Java and using associated development environments (both proprietary and open-source) ⢠At least two years college education in information systems or computer science or related discipline ⢠Desired: certifications related to languages and development environments listed above, system analyst experience, BS in information systems, software engineering, or related discipline (e.g. mathematics, computer science, etc.) EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS ⢠Cold Fusion, DotNet, and Java and using associated development environments (both proprietary and open-source) WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS ⢠Military work environment ⢠May occasionally be required to lift up to 20lbs. ⢠US Citizenship Required for Government Clearance Interested applicants should contact: Ben Link @ AboutWeb [email protected] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
