JOB TITLE: Web Developer/ColdFusion Programmer
This is an immediate contract position for 3+ months. Local candidates
preferred.
We are a web development team at Baylor College of Medicine working on two
projects requiring immediate assistance. One is a redesign of an existing
government website using SAVA(MURA) content management system
(ColdFusion-based). For this project we are translating and rebuilding
existing features and also creating and adding new ones. The second is
upgrading an existing site, built in-house, with new features to be used by
teachers from the Houston Independent School District (HISD).
The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this
position include:
* Candidate must have a minimum of at least 4 years of experience
developing ColdFusion applications
* Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and advanced database
design/programming skills
* Knowledge of programming with JavaScript, CSS, Jquery
* Experience with reading and modifying existing code and comfortable
working with legacy systems
* Ability to rapidly understand strategic objectives and create robust
technical solutions
* Strong communication skills - must be able to interact with senior
management, programmers and end-users
* Ability to complete assigned tasks properly and on time
* Innovative thinking and problem solving skills
* Must be able to work independently while in a team environment
Desired but not required:
* Working knowledge of SAVA(MURA) Content Management System
* Healthcare or science background
* 508 Compliance knowledge
* Experience working on government websites
