Cold Fusion developer with PL/SQL knowledge
* This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of complex web applications from design through implementation. * Participates in all phases of system development life cycle including gathering user requirements, preparation of detailed specifications, application design, coding, testing, debugging, and creation of associated technical and end-user documentation. * The level of work required is considered advanced and the candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision. This job does not have any direct reports. Job Duties: * Independently designs, develops and implements new applications with a high degree of technical competence * Evaluates designs and implements major modifications to existing applications to accommodate changes in user requirements of hardware/software infrastructure. Refines application components for performance enhancement * See projects through to completion * Prepares all application development methodology deliverables and memos, status reports, specifications, and letters relevant to projects assigned * Ensures that the quality of software developed, maintained and enhanced in-house and installed into production is sufficient to prevent the occurrence of defects that cause the customer significant problems, missed deadlines, or interruption to the production environment * Performs other duties as assigned Job Requirements: * Expert level ColdFusion 7 (CF7) experience is required (though CF8 is highly preferred). * Mid to expert level JBOSS experience * Expert level SQL and PL/SQL skills, preferably on Oracle * Excellent oral and written communication skills and Excellent customer services skills * Familiar with usability techniques and best practice. * Demonstrates independent thinking and decision-making abilities * Demonstrates strong written and oral communication abilities * Strong knowledge of SDLC methodology & Project life-cycle * Proficient knowledge of programming languages; HTML, XML, Java, JavaScript, * Working knowledge of two or more of these operating systems; Win2000, XP, Unix, Linux * Knowledge of Version manager preferably IBM rational tool.
