Designs, codes, debugs, tests, deploys and supports all ColdFusion/MS SQL Server applications. Writes design documents, use cases, help manuals and other documentation as necessary. Programs middleware and back-end development and writes SQL Server stored procedures. Implements third-party software via APIs and XML integration. Trains and assists staff members with adding content in the CMS and custom applcations as necessary. Reports to Manager, Web Development.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science or a similar discipline and a minimum of two years professional Web development experience working with ColdFusion MX 7 (or higher) and MS SQL Server 2000 (or higher), with a history of accurate and high-quality work. Must have experience with the project development life cycle. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and work well both individually as well as with other (often non-technical) team members. Required skills include: ⢠Web development application/scripting languages, including ColdFusion MX 7 or higher ⢠MS SQL Server 2000/2005 ⢠HTML/XHTML ⢠DHTML/JavaScript/AJAX ⢠CSS ⢠XML Must have solid knowledge of relational database design and development including T-SQL and stored procedures; strong documentation and debugging/QA skills. Experience with Adobe Flash, Flex, Air; iMIS; SiteExecutive; .NET; iPod applications or Android applications is a plus. Pleasant and professional work environment; downtown Manhattan location.
