The EVF platform enables the Care Advancement objective as part of the Electronic Medical Care mission of IC Sciences. This is an opportunity to directly impact the success of this platform by delivering innovative internet-based solutions. The Lead Application Engineer is responsible for all aspects of detailed design, development, deployment, and support of EVF functionality. Included in those responsibilities is working closely with teammates on the EVF technical team and broader EI Lab team on solutions that are consistent with the EI Lab technical platform and direction. Regular interaction with EVF business leaders is expected to ensure that the product roadmap and development plans are in alignment with EVF business goals. This role reports directly to the VP of Engineering, IC Sciences. Scope and responsibilities: Primary activities and responsibilities of the EVF Lead Application Engineer include: - Develop and document product requirements for existing and new functionality - Establish work estimates for the design, development, and deployment of new functionality - Conduct design reviews with peers to ensure solid design principles are used and the EIL technology roadmap is advanced through new functionality - Follow development and deployment standards for new functionality. Upgrade existing designs and implementations as appropriate. - Participate in peer driven quality and testing reviews, including implementation / code reviews and functional testing - Follow established deployment practices - Be proactive in identifying process improvements for EVF and the broader EIL team - Provide technical support for the EVF platform. This may include periodic off-hours support requirements Skills Minimum qualifications for the EVF Lead Application Engineer are: - BS Computer Science or equivalent - Over 5 years product development experience using ColdFusion / SQL Server or related application technologies, internet technologies, Web 2.0 functionality - Product design / development / support experience on internet-based applications Desired qualifications: Desired qualifications for the EVF Lead Application Engineer are: - Hands-on experience in 3-tier Java-based architectures, Oracle Db - Experience in healthcare IT related products, especially endovascular and cardiology specialties - Familiarity and/or be an regular user of online social and professional networks ** Experience with ColdFusion is must, J2EE is plus ** Company Description Informed Clinical Sciences Corporation is a worldwide designer and developer of medical informatics instruments (MIIs) and systems for delivering electronic medical care.
