Sumo Consulting is an Atlanta based interactive agency focused on building engaging, usable, web connected software. We are currently looking for an intermediate level Web Developer to help with with various projects in areas including Sports Media, Biotech, and Education.
We expect you to be driven - excited about technology and eager to solve problems. You should pay attention to the details and have a strong work ethic. Be prepared to learn something new every day, and to teach someone something new every day. Our office is creative. We know how to play. We know how to work. Were social. Were looking for someone who understands the Front End. You might know jQuery, ExtJS, Yui, or Dojo. You might know one or you might know them all, but you should come eager and able to learn it if you dont know it. You should be excited about HTML5s future and eager to fulfill its destiny - believe the hype! (eventually) Were looking for someone who knows Flex and AIR. You might be an ActionScript programmer or an MXML junkie, but you know how to build great interfaces using Flash Builder (or another Flex toolset). Were looking for someone who knows the backend too. You may have experience with ColdFusion, PHP, or Ruby on Rails. You should understand The Stack. LAMP isnt the only stack around, and you should be able to comprehend technology layer cake without being hung up on one recipe. You should understand acronyms like MVC, OOP, SQL, and WTF. You should know what version control is and how to use it. You should have a favorite IDE and use it for a good reason. Are we asking too much? We don't think so. Impress us.
