Established Web development firm is seeking a Senior Web Developer to join our team to implement original programming for a wide range of clients from the Association and Non-Profit world.
This individual will be leading a small team in the development of new Web sites as well as the maintenance of several existing sites. The applications we deploy are written in ColdFusion 8 and 9. Occasional use of C# on ASP.NET 3.5 for web services creation with Microsoft CRM. Knowledge of Object Oriented programming, Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript (particularly jQuery), ColdSpring, Subversion, and Model-Glue. Also needed is an understanding of IIS6, IIS7, Microsoft Access, and MySQL. Ideal candidates will have leadership experience, a determination to work through support issues along with the teamâs Account Executive, an ability to evaluate and recommend new technical initiatives, command of HTML/CSS/JS, Cold fusion, and an Object-Oriented approach to development, and a willingness to teach others. The successful candidate will hold a bachelor's degree and will have six to eight years of relevant web experience. The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications, an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and a solid understanding of iterative software development processes. Required Skills - ColdFusion 8 and 9, - Knowledge of Object Oriented programming, Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript (particularly jQuery), ColdSpring, Subversion, and Model-Glue, - Understanding of IIS6, IIS7, Microsoft Access, and MySQL, - Familiar with source control principles and comfortable with Subversion. - Ability to design and develop new programming features for client Web sites, - Ability to work in a small team, instructing and mentoring others across the organization, - Experience in cross-browser compatibility in IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, - Knowledge of usability standards and best practices for traditional and mobile Web formats, - Applied knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, - Desire to keep abreast of new technologies; and an ability to integrate them with web sites to enhance usability and efficiency of the sites.
