Information Technology technician/programmer Compensation: Commensurate with experience: $40,000 to $60,000 range Normal Business Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (to 5pm on Fridays) with 1 hour for lunch. Must be able to assist with programming (currently using Cold Fusion) and provide technical support. RE technical requirements: provide technical support, have network management capabilities and make general repairs of all Information Technology equipment Technical Support General Duties: Provide helpdesk support for users Resolve PC hardware/software problems Ensure all Information Technology equipment is in good working order Maintain accurate records of all company Information Technology assets Make repairs to Information Technology hardware (i.e. Phones, Printers, Copy Machines, Scanners, Workstations and Servers, etc.) Perform basic network maintenance; monitor Server event logs for performance or security issues Deployment of new systems and upgrades as required, including move and reconfigure computer workstations. Perform first level network administration, including add/remove users, assign file/folder rights Maintain password security, data integrity, and file system security. Assist with management of our hardware/software inventory. Manage and prioritize incoming support requests. Possible travel to other offices. Perform and Monitor data backups and recovery as needed. Administer Email System Implement Backup Contingency Procedures in cases of Server / Equipment Malfunction Perform other similar duties as assigned. Technical Support Required Skills: Associates Degree, combination of college and experience, or 5+ years related Information Technology Support Thorough knowledge of Windows Server/ XP/ 7 Experience supporting Microsoft Office Experience supporting email clients Basic familiarity with local and wide area networks. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and present a professional appearance, and be able to communicate effectively (both orally and written) with colleagues Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of management and staff. Ability to work as a team member or independently as required.
