We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the open position of Senior Systems Analyst/ColdFusion Developer. This position can be located in Overland Park, KS, Waterloo, IA or can be virtual/home-based. A qualified candidate is required to have a Bachelorâs Degree and a minimum of 5 years ColdFusion programming experience. This position is responsible for providing complex database driven web based application development for Shortâs Travel Managementand our clients. Additionally, this position is responsible for support of current applications, training end users, and general application maintenance. The selected candidate will conduct systems analysis to determine the best and most effective methods to create and support both internal and external business needs including, but not necessarily limited to IT ap plications, portals, websites, and reporting. Flexibility to travel as needed for job related assignments and project implementations will be required.
Computer Skills: * A minimum of 5+ years ColdFusion experience is required. * Strong understanding of databases (SQL Server) and entity relationships. * Working knowledge of data systems analysis and development. * Skills in database management and technical applications support. * Visual Basic and/or .Net knowledge is a plus. * Mobile development experience is a plus. Essential Functions: * Demonstrates proficient technical skills and abilities for new development, maintenance and support of database systems, portal management, GDS and online booking products. * Interfaces with business users to gather and define requirements, documentation, design, testing, and the implementation of software solutions. * Identifies solutions to address business objectives/problems including custom and/or packaged solutions. * Capable of effectively communicating with all functional groups and levels within the organization. * Develops strong understanding of the business model and overall strategy of the organization. * Provides on-going training and support to functional teams beyond implementation. Required Cognitive Skills: * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that includes an aggressive release schedule, multiple concurrent projects, and evolving business requirements. * Maintains the highest possible level of confidentiality with company and client data. * Self-motivated and autonomous with consistent follow through. * Must be able to work effectively within a team environment. * Demonstrates above average project coordination and planning skills with appropriate attention to detail. * Proven ability to pick up new technologies at a basic/fundamental level. * Must be able to model processes or systems.
