Ok a little more of this is coming back to me now, looking at my ColdFusion server.
I renamed the cfmx-connectors.sh script to cfmx-connectors-never-did-run.sh so CF would not try to install the connectors every time it starts up. Its supposed to run this script the first time you start CF, then if it successfully installs the connector, it renames the script. Then I went into the connectors directory, and edited the apache_connector.sh script to have the correct paths.
