Hey CFer's,
I have made some changes to our site at http://www.kcfusion.org . The page will
expand to full screen, so you can take advantage of larger screen sizes
now.
I also added some showcase menu's on the right for News,
Downloads, and Links. Anyone that has suggestions for the content of these
menu's please speak up.
In the download menu is a link to a free resource for creating
custom tags in Cold Fusion, due to the XML and component technologies used to
build the app, you
will need a copy of IE 5 or later to run it. I did a demo of
this app about 2 months ago. Basically you tell the Custom Tag Wizard what
parameters your custom tag needs
and what the tag is supposed to do and it will create a
template and a context editor for your tag to be used in CF Studio.
One note about the Custom Tag Wizard, setting a parameters
value to any string including a space will make that parameter required in the
template that the wizard
creates. Skipping the value for a parameter will make the
parameter optional in your custom tag.
I am working on some other enhancements to the site, like
a suggestion box for what you want to hear at the monthly meetings and a
presentation kit for building
presentations on line. I know it is coming together slowly,
but bare with me, I enjoy helping others succeeded by sharing the resources that
have made me
successful.
More news to come later, I'll keep you posted.
