You have to make sure that you have the latest MDACs on your server --
either that or install Access2000 on it to get the right drivers. I have
used Access 2000 databases with CF 4.0, 4.01 and 4.5 without problems --
although databases in Access 2000 tend to be significantly larger (in
filesize) than the 97 or 98 version of the same thing. The upside though, is
that the compression routines are better in 2000, so if you design a
database in 2000, then save it as a 98 version, it will be smaller than if
you actually designed it in 98. Hmmm.

Hope this helps.

Nate

Subject: [KCFusion] CF4.x with Access2000

Does anyone know of compatibility problems between ColdFusion 4.x and a
database done in Access2000? We tried this once (light duty only) about six
months ago and got errors. Didn't have time to debug, so it's been a process
of converting between the new and old Access formats ever since then.
