I have a little CF app that copies database files from the Web server to a
shared directory on my PC. It just uses CFFILE to go across our in-house
network. It worked fine until I upgraded my PC to Win2000. Now the copy
fails. I tried double-checking the permissions and security on the shared
dir, and making sure I added accounts like System and Network. Also added
the two accounts reserved for Web applications. The copy still fails. So I
went to the Web/CF server and tried manually copying the files across the
network. As soon as I double-clicked on the icon for my hard drive, a login
box popped up demanding a username and password. This is what CF is
encountering. So I tried making sure the share permissions on my drive
included the system and Web accounts. No luck. Any ideas?
