I am running xp pro on Dell Inspiron 8600 512k memory with 30 gig free.
This is a brand new machine which I purchased so that I could train on it to
learn CF.
What I've done so far:
installed IIS 5.1 as the local server (localhost)
Installed CF server evaluation from CD that came with the CF construction
kit book.
Installed the CF studio evaluation from CD

Verified that cfsnippetts are a valid ODBC entry
Verified that all services are running

Results:
I get to the verifying Installation and configuration,
it lists the subjects in a dropdown listbox and when I click on Verify it
fails.

It says four possible reasons for failure:
1) You are browsing a local file
2) ODBC is not properly installed
3) The API/CGI based execution os not working on your server
4) CF did not start automatically... blah blah

I verified that 1, 2, and 4 are fine.
To verify or fix #3 - I have no idea what to do.

I am unable to bring up the CF administrator page either.
Going to the localhost web page is prompting me to login as someone.

Thanks a lot.
Sheldon
