Ade, Many thanks for your help but I think I have found the (an) answer. I should have looked at what it was saying. The message I was getting said it wouldn't accept text/richtext when I had set the accept type to "application/rtf". It spat out couldn't accept application/octet-stream (because it was looking for an application). As soon as I changed the accept type to "text/richtext" it worked perfectly well. I should be able to spot wood from trees by now! Maybe useful to others labouring under this problem.
