I recently started exploring my cold fusion server setup since I'm being asked more to debug not crashes, but strange happenings on the server. I read on the list somewhere that using the registry to store client variables on a windows machine should not be done on a production server. So I went off to trudge through the registery and it appears that since march of this year, a new client variable is being set every 2 minutes. I went to check the server settings in cf admin and the default is currently set to a datasource. Any ideas on what could cause these client variables to be stored in the registry and suggestions as to how to track down the culprit?
