Shared hosting...

The main thing is that I don't want the users to have to enter in two
passwords - or have to do it twice.

Also, there is the added frustration of changing the password on the server
with company turnover - so I want to avoid that as well.

Can you Explain what you mean by the .htaccess file - how that would work.

Sounds like you need to use a .htaccess file (for linux/apache) or use IIS
authentication on the webserver.

Is it shared hosting or your own box?
