Zelda,

I'm not storing the images in the db, just the image name, images are
uploaded to a specified directory and then referenced by the name in the db.
Every image is associated with an item and every item is referenced by
itemID, the description, price and image are all tied together through the
itemID. HTH

Bob/All,
This is a timely subject for me. We are trying for the first time to work
with inserting photos into a db. What datatype do you use? Can anything else
be used besides blob? What code do you use to pull the image out of the db
to display on the page? Thanks.

Thanks ...Maybe too early in the morning for that fourth now :) and I've
run into another problem, I mean opportunity to learn more about CF :)
Let me explain my little scenario thus far, and what I am trying to do
then maybe someone has a different approach w/o my little issues.

I have a form with 2 fields to add an item to the db, description and
price, and no I'm not trying to build a shopping cart ;) The form is
submitted and description and price are added to the db, then it
proceeds to the next step which is to upload an image to associate with
each item (works fine so far), then right after uploading I have another
routine that runs a little cfdirectory bit with recurse set to yes,
herein lies my issue.... Sometimes this works fine as I understand how
recurse works in this scenario, based on LastDateModified I snag the
image name to update the db with this image name for future use.
Sometimes this works ok, sometimes it grabs the previous uploaded image
name as opposed to the current. If this makes sense to anyone out there
....... Can you offer me any insight here please?

Bob
