Dreamweaver is a tool that you can use to build html pages, php, asp,
Coldfusion, etc. Coldfusion is an application that compiled Coldfusion pages
and execute them.

If you've never built anything for the web before, Coldfusion is a great
place to start. It's quite easy to learn and you can be off building
database driven pages in no times.

Of course you'll have to learn how to use SQL too :)

Good luck!

Subject: Coldfusion & Dreamweaver

Hi,

Hope someone can help with a bit of information or where to start. I have
been asked to set up an intranet that will be able to post and get data
from a SQL 2000 database, I have no experience of anything of a web page
building nature so please make it simple :-) I have set the intranet
running on a windows 2003 server.

I have the intranet all set up and working so now its on to the creation of
the pages, a few people that I know are using dreamweaver, but I have also
come across Coldfusion and it seems to better suit my needs with regards to
talking to the databases, what I need to know is one better than the other
or do they both work together.

Sorry if I haven't included enough information

Thanks tress
