Bob, The required is built in, with required="yes" just add a message="You didn't enter a MR #, please do so." and to make sure you get an integer add a validate="integer" and then you can also add an onMouseOut ="javascript:ValidateForm();" and just use that to check and make sure you have an 8 digit number (or whatever you need).
