Hi,
Is there any option to get it to work, maybe on another server like Windows
2000.
We also have a Linux machine here, is there any way i can get it to work on
that?
It's about securing certain tags but the NT Level security is not enough for
us.
It's not really an option to have the WINNT directory open.
Thanks already,
Mark

Hello Mark,
Advanced security in ColdFusion 4.0, 4.5 on NT is a total wash out and very
rarely works.
If you call Allaire and press the issue they will give you a bunch of free
support incidents.
>From what I have been told current advanced security was deigned by a third
party company and Allaire is working on a in-house version now.

Hi Everyone
This is a problem i run into when trying to set Advanced Security Sandboxes
in Allaire ColdFusion Server 4.5.1 SP1 on a Windows NT Machine.
This is the problem i get using a NT User directory or an ODBC DataSource
When i Add a Security Context and enter the checkbox for
"Protect all resources by default" and "CFML"
When i add rules for all my tags later and add them to my policy i get the
problem that when i want to view a page in the security Sandbox i created
that i get the error below.
This tag does not exist in my advanced security and it shows this error for
every CFIF tag.
Error Occurred While Processing Request
Error Diagnostic Information
CFIfMainClause
Authorization error - user not authorized.
The error occurred while processing an element with a general identifier of
(CFIF), occupying document position (18:3) to (18:38) in the template file
D:\Webprojects\icommerce\wwwroot\iWebsite\Application.cfm.
Date/Time: 10/09/00 15:35:12
Browser: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 4.0)
Remote Address: 195.193.48.2
Please inform the site administrator <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> that this
error has occurred (be sure to include the contents of this page in your
message to the administrator).
The other problem is when i don't add the "Protect all resources by default
checkbox i get the error
_____
Error Occurred While Processing Request
Error Diagnostic Information
Sandbox error
Authentication failure: unknown user or bad password
Date/Time: 10/09/00 16:02:23
Browser: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 4.0)
Remote Address: 195.193.48.2
Please inform the site administrator <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> that this
error has occurred (be sure to include the contents of this page in your
message to the administrator).
This while i use the same user-directory, sandbox and login, so i don't know
why i get this error.
Anyone who has an idea how to solve this.
Thanks in advance.
