I think that your problem has to do with NT user profiles. When you're
logged on as the domain user, you might be using a remote profile, stored on
the domain controller.

In any case, though, it doesn't matter. You don't need to use the Start Menu
to administer your CF servers. Simply open up a browser, and type in the
appropriate URL. For your own machine, that URL will most likely be:

http://127.0.0.1/cfide/administrator/index.cfm

For the remote CF server, the URL will most likely be the same, except that
instead of referencing 127.0.0.1, which is the IP loopback address, you'll
instead reference the IP address or hostname of the remote CF server.
