make a boot disk, boot from it, and run fdisk. format the drive. partition
if you need to. your boot disk should have CD ROM support. put the CD in the
drive, and then run the WIN2K setup from there.

Subject: OT: Win2k - Clean Install Help

Hi everyone, me again. More server questions.

I have to learn to stop messing with my 'puters... <grin>

However, I have a laptop that I have had sitting around waiting for me to
give it some attention. It's got 128 MB RAM, 700 GHZ, 8 GIG HD...

It had WinME on it. <puke>

I installed Win2k Professional over that - (months ago, playing around)

I now have Win2k Advanced Server, and I want to install that on it. I also
have SQL Server 2000 Enterprise edition to do with the advanced server.

I need to completely erase this laptop's HD and start from Ground Zero.

Where do I start? I haven't wiped a hard drive and started from scratch in
ages. What do I need? (besides a good stiff drink...)

Thanks in advance...

Erika
