I found lots of people with that ide.cfm... although none of my servers 
have it....

Are you running a WIN NT version or a Unix variety of CF???

I found one reference in a PDF ... it mentioned it outright, location 
and all... it was for a monitoring service... lead me to believe it is 
to just test the HTTP engine to determine if it is functioning...
