I'm stumped, someone please put me out of my misery!

I am running CF4.5/Win2000 Server. I need to authenticate a user using Basic
Authentication. I have created group for this websites domain and added a
'user' to it, then I added the group to the web sites root directory and
allowed read/execute etc.(NTFS permissions).

I am prompted for a Username and Password, and if requesting a .HTM file it
works, the index page is returned. When calling a .CFM I cannot log in. So,
I have concluded that the Basic Authentication has passed the websites root
dir NTFS permissions, but is failing somewhere else, maybe the D:/CFUSION
where CF is stored or C:/WINNT dir?

I must be missing some type permission setting that will allow this users
group to access the appropriate resources for CF.....

I have looked through Allaire and MS but no luck, I am sure someone has run
into this problem! Please share!

C.
