Have you set the task to output to a file? That would give you the result of the request. It maybe permissions, in which case ti will save connection failure. Is the directory your using set to allow annonymous access? Have you any security, log-in or required variables in the application.cfm that relates to that directory? You might need to set up a separate application.cfm.
