which by design must be called by a local administrative account (which the
Local System comes under) the new server runs as a standard user and not an
administrator which causes the permission failure

Subject: COM Object access and User Permissions
Hi All,
Does anyone have a link or information on what user permissions CF has to
have to access COM Objects?
We are in the process of moving a site from one server to another. Both
servers have the COM object successfully registered but server A has CF
running as the Local System whereas server B is running CF as a restricted
user.
On Server B when we try to call a method on the COM object we get
"An exception occurred when executing a Com method. The cause of this
exception was that: AutomationException: 0x800a0046 - Permission denied in "
and then the com object name.
Does anyone know what permissions its going to need and where to set them, I
am assuming Local/User policy rather than DCOMCnfg as the object is a dll
runnig on the same server as apposed to a .exe server running on another
server
TIA
Mikey
