This is problem that our Windows system engineers haven't been able to figure
out. On a newly-built box, when it reboots, sometimes the CF application
server service won't start. When this happens, which isn't always, a second or
third reboot allows it to start up just fine.

Note that our box also seems to take a while to come up; normally we'd expect
about 5 minutes max, butit often takes 10 minutes. The registry is fine; no
junk in it, and steady at a size of 41k. And my nightmare is that one day
we'll reboot and CF will decide to hang permanently. Has anyone else
experienced anything like this? I'm trying to first figure out if this is
likely a system problem or an application/coding problem. Could any setting in
CF admin or any bad coding practices cause something like this to happen? We're
completely up to date on all patches; running CFMX 6.1 and SQL server 2000 on a
Win 2003 server box (w/ IIS 6). Thanks,

Christophe Maso
