Well, I should have been more specific - CF5 is far more stable than CFMX
regardless of version. Ever since CF made the move to being an
'application' rather than a server it began being bound by different rules -
in this case Java and the JVM.

CF7 is a stunning release and then some but I think that for anyone moving
from CF5 with a fairly large and complex application you will find that the
move will be a little more complicated than you would have expected say from
CF4.5 to CF5. One example is where you may have had a report page in CF5
which could say being back 50K records - in CF5 it may have taken a long
time to run but it would have completed with no detrimental effect to other
users...on MX queries take up around 4 to 5 times more memory to run so you
wil need a kick ass machine for it to work or complete - nothing to do with
MX you will not but Java and it's interaction with MX.

The key to any MX install is learning how to get the most out of Java - I
learnt so much from debugging slow running apps and MX! I can tweak Java all
day!

Botton line is plan and test. Build some test environments with MX on and
run your app on them (under simulated load) BEFORE upgrading. Get to know
Java and CF in it's MX guise. If you do not test you may regret upgrading
without doing it.
