Hello,

I'm planning a new serverpackage and need advice..

My goal is to have 2 servers clustered with 2 JRUN Instances each, and
both sharing the same filestructure through a multinode storage
solution. (Windows and CFMX/JRUN on mirrored disks in each server and
shared storage for the application files/customer data)

If I'm not misunderstanding there is no need to use Windows 2003
Enterprise on each of the servers to accomplish this?

ClusterCats will provide for IIS clustering, while Jrun itself will
provide CFMX clustering across servers?

Is there any reason for me to purchase Windows 2003 Enterprise for the
servers and utilize the clustering within Windows in addition to
clustercats / Jrun clustering?
It would be sufficient to go for Windows 2003 Standard - or even the Web
edition?

Should I purchase a hardware loadbalancer instead of using ClusterCats.
And if so, what appliance should I choose?
(Can I wait on that investment and add it to the cluster when I need
more throughput?)

Next goal would be to be able to add additional CFMX/Jrun servers to the
cluster easily, this is the way to go to accomplish that?

Server configuration:
HP DL380 with 2x3.6GHz Xenon processors, 4GB RAM, 2X72GB 15K mirrored
drives for system and server applications. CFMX 7.01 Enterprise and a
separate 2-Proc MSSQL 2005 box.

Thanks,

Mvh/greetings,
