You could ask Adobe this question by calling their sales phone number. Most companies don't allow licenses for new products to cover old versions. It is worth confirming though. Your best hope for this type of flexible licensing would be purchasing the product from the Adobe sales phone number. I would be curious to know the answer to this question as well.
