I think you can use the CFREGISTRY tag to create legal DSNs, and then use
them in your code. CF_AutoAddMDB (found at
http://www.intrafoundation.com/freeware.html) would probably give you the
clues you need.

No. These are Sybase ASA 6.03 databases.
