I'm working on a spam app like this right now, and I am trying to find a
solution
to the same problem. So I will keep you posted, if you promise to do the
same.
I have another question; just how much emailing can cold fusion handle? I
noticed
that a lot of the stuff in the dev exchange used java to do the mailing,
does
straight CF have some short comings in this area. I should mention that I am
dealing
with about 1.5 million email addresses. I should also mention that it's not
really spam,
they are all double opted in.

Subject: mass emailing - bad emails

All,

I'm sure this has been covered before, but does anyone have any tips on
detecting bounced or bad email addresses after doing a mass emailing? I
have a client that needs some mass emailing done but she wants the returned
emails due to unknown or expired email accounts deleted from her database.
Any ideas? Is there something in the email headers i can specifically look
for or do all email servers return a different type of message?

Thanks,
Craig
