It occurs to me that this could ( in theory ) be a really powerful tool, if you could pass command-line arguments to say, the ColdFusion cfhttp engine using a trigger in the database. This would allow the flow of process in the oposite direction, back to CF ( executing cf processes as a result of datasource events ), in addition to the much more common CF -> datasource process path... There is of course the risk of circular events where you get SQL triggering CF which in turn triggers the originating SQL... however, I can think of some instances in which being able to use process flow in both directions could be very useful...
