We've had CFMX running over Apache 1.3 for a while on test boxes here... Nothing production ready yet, but looks pretty stable to me...
There's seems to be tonnes of apprehension amongst our *nix people to move to apache 2. There almost seems to be a security fix coming out once a week almost... One would think they are getting the Microsoft flu :) My mistakes about the assumption though. Apparantly cfmx supports both flavours of apache... Dunno where I came up with that notion... I may have had my PHP and CF hats mixed up...
