I modified the CFMX startup script to clear the "Allowed" external IP
address -- works great!

I am curious, I thought this was supposed to be done automatically by
CFMX when you cycled the Developer system.

Is this true?

If so. where and when is this done?

I know I am dealing with a port, but I'd rather not tack on too many
things (like the above startup script modification). I would prefer to
give CFMX the correct info and let it "do its thing".

If CFMX doesn't do this automatically, why not?

What's the purpose of retaining the first external IP (to hit CFMX
after a startup) across startups of CFMX?

Wouldn't it just be easier to maintain this within the running CFMX &
have it go away when CFMX goes away.

I don't see that this would jeopardize the purpose of the single
additional IP address for Developer version.

TIA

Dick
