I also had to recently unplug UPS shipping calculations because I 
couldn't send the server multiple package and multiple weights without 
sending them one at a time in multiple requests. it was a bit of a 
hassle so we opted for downloading all their rates into databases and 
will update those quarterly so we can get multiple package shipping 
results in 1 query/output.

As per the rep - there wasn't support for that.
