I was just about to post this myself when I noticed the thread. I have this same issue.
Win2k/CF5 -> Win2k/Oracle 8.0.5 Happens fairly frequently. Much too often basically, but only on larger queries. I also get "Timeout while trying to obtain Oracle statement lock".
