Actually, VBScript is A scripting language for ASP.  JScript and Perl and
possibly some other ones could be used to write ASP pages as well, from what
I remember.  ASP pages were not compiled like ASP.NET pages are, they were
interpreted.

Now that .NET has come about, C# .NET and Visual Basic .NET are what you use
to write ASP.NET pages.
