Last I check ActivePDF used a COM object. CFMX doesn't jive well with COM NEmore. I talked to the activePDF guys at devCon and they said we're your best bet is to setup a separate server with CF5. They didn't really seem like they were even planning on resolving the issues.
You know there are a bunch of free Java classes for PDF creation.
