This is purely a licensing issue. CFMX Enterprise Edition supports multiple CPUs, but you don't have to pay a per-CPU license fee. CFMX for J2EE also supports multiple CPUs, but to have a legal license, you have to pay a per-CPU license fee. There are other applications that have similar licensing.
