> Which driver? he missed the use unicode parameter for that dsn. if you force a N' hint/flag in a sql server statement the database knows what's unicode & what's not unicode. when switching to cfqueryparam there's nothing to hint to the database that any chunk of text is unicode. so you need to turn it on in the driver.
