Howdy,
A client wants to add chat to her site (done in CF). There needs to be
a "pay before you participate" system set up for both moderated chats
and private chats (she's a psychologist).
Right now, we're looking at using a third party chat service to do this.
I can handle the payment transaction stuff, but am scratching my head
over how to control who enters (i.e., only those who've paid in
advance). I don't see a way to do this if the chat software isn't part
of her site.
Is anyone aware of chat software done in CF that would let us integrate
it into the site to have total control over the environment, running on
the same server where the site is hosted? I've looked at FusionChat but
my client isn't willing to cough up the $2500 for an open-source
license. Any other possibilities? Oh, her preference is not to use a
Java-based chat application.
Ideas? Or is this too far fetched?
TIA,
