I need to call an excal spreedsheet (Excel 2000) into ColdFusion (ColdFusion
server 4.5), load data into the spreedsheet but keep the macros intact on
the spreadsheet then open it in an IE browser.

I got the file, renamed the file, wrote the query to populate the first
section than tried to use a COMobject to load the data into the spreadsheet
at which time ColdFusion told me that COMobjects were not supported by
Solaris ColdFusion. This was quite a disappointment. I have looked through
everything I could find but have not come up with an alternative. Can anyone
give me an idea of how to put data into a spreadsheet without loosing the
macros and opening the file in the browser.

BTW, StarOffice is not an option. I must use Excel.

Thanks for any guidance,
