I'm not sure about this (because I use CF 5.0) but I had similar trouble, and found 
that paramatarizing with <cfqueryparam> in a QoQ was a problem.  You can try removing 
the <cfqueryparam> tag.  Since it's a QoQ it's not subject to SQL injection attacks.
