I know you can do it with separate server instances. I *think* you can 
do it with separate contexts (since each context can have its own 
WEB-INF/lib). I run BlueDragon and five different versions of CFMX all 
on the same instance of Tomcat (as well as two additional 'pure Java' 
application contexts).

On JRun, I have multiple server instances (six of them) but mostly only 
have one application context on each server (three instances run 
versions of CFMX, one runs the JMC - JRun Management Console app, one 
runs the JRun samples and one runs another J2EE app).

I've not yet managed to get that to work :(
