We've started to do some work with Lucene by using the lindex tags included in the latest DRK.
The search itself works pretty well, although we've had to jump through some hoops to get content out of a database, into files, and then into the index. Seems as fast or faster than Verity and doesn't have the document number limitations that the bundled engine has. Can anyone give me a few leads on alternative search engines other than K2? I'd like a few options to explore. BTW, we're indexing text out of a database, not pages on the site. Thanks!
